Painted talons are nothing new. Over the years we have pretty much seen it all, from oval shaped to square tips, to painted cuticles to nude, pastel and neon shades.
Over the past few years we have seen a huge shift from extensions with acrylics or gel overlay to those of us wanted the longevity of acrylic but on coloured nails. The introduction of shellac and gel nails was a revolutionary one and we have not really looked back.
It is so easy to add glitter, diamonds and other nail art; it is cost effective and lasts too. So whether it is for your special day or for your holidays, you have more chance on coming home with the talons you wanted rather than losing a tip or getting the paint work chipped relatively quickly after having them done.
Now we get a lot of ideas from across the pond and one company ha taken the USA by storm introduction (what is not that new of a concept) but extended the choices bound our wildest dreams.
Jamberry was created by 3 sisters with a passion for nails. After an expensive afternoon together at the nail salon, Lyndsey, Christy and Keri vowed to find a simpler, more cost effective way to keep their hands looking polished, while still spending time together.
After lots of trial and error, the proprietary nail wraps of Jamberry Nails launched in late 2010. The DIY, at-home application and incredible variety of designs caught on quickly and sales soared. A new era of nail art was born.
Gone are the days of nails that chip and flake after only a few days! Gone are the days of the single coloured manicure. Gone are the mani/pedis that take all afternoon and most of your cash too! Jamberry nail wraps arm you with style and confidence while demanding very little of your time or money.
It has taken both the USA and Canada by storm, check out their website to see some of their simply amazing designs.
